Keki or “Keku” as She is called by my mom, she was born on December 17. Her parents are Badri Adhikari and Laxmi Adhikari Bhattarai.
Early Career
She had started her career as a participation in a dancing competition (a reality show) organized by “NTV-2 ” namely GHINTANG, where she got spotted by the co-producer of the show cum film director Prasanna Poudel. This led to her first break in Nepali music video industry with introduction in Mingma Sherpa’s KASARI. This was followed with few other videos including ANJU PANTA’s BANMA FULYO and SHIVA PARIYAR’s KYA DAMMI BHO which two proved her career’s accelerating points.
Career breakthrough
After number of successful music videos, she finally landed to Nepali Movie Industry with one of the leading role in Prasanna Poudel’s first directorial venture SWOR co-starring Rajballav Koirala and introducing Rima B.K, Benisha Hamal, S Raj alongside Keki Adhikari.
Getting Noticed
Since SWOR which was her career breakthrough, she have been blessed to work with some of the most renowned talents in the industry including Rajesh Hamal (Actor), Nir Shah (Actor/Director), Bhusan Dahal (Director), Dayaram Dahal (Director), Alok Nembang (Director), Rajballav Koirala (Actor) and Aryan Sigdel (Actor) in movies like MASAN, MAYA KO BARI MA, I AM SORRY, MAHASUS and numerous music videos.
Keki Adhikari thinks seven is her lucky number. In the past jobs linked with seven number had been successful for Keki.
Example: the shooting of her first movie “Swor” had started on Mangsir 7.
Similarly, she believes that she passed with good number in an exam for which she didn’t study much because; her symbol number for the exam was 7. The April 19, 2012 (Baisakh 7, 2069) edition of Cinema Sansar weekly magazine has published top three actors and actress on its cover. One of the top actress featured in the cover is Keki Adhikari. The magazine claims that the selection was made by the viewers of Nepali movies. A number of music videos feature Keki Adhikari and Bimalesh Adhikari and the screen-couple is liked by audience. Now, they are also going to be featured in a movie named “Mutu”. Keki and Bimalesh have recently signed in the movie going to floor on Baisakh 15.
In response to the news, Keki told that she had liked working with Bimalesh in music videos and wanted to work in big screen movies too. Bimalesh is also happy to act opposite to Keki in the big screen movie. Bimalesh expects that, like the music video audience, movie goers will also love their roles in the movie.“Mutu” is produced by Surya Bohara and he is also directing the movie.
